i have spent practically zip on car audio equipment in the last 8 years
for this very reason.  having had 3 original stereos stolen from 3 cars
and then two of my own installs stolen out of the same set of vehicles,
i gave up on it.  ironically, the last incident occurred while i was
test driving a pair of magneplanar mg-II's at a friend's apartment.
