Oil in air intake

Hmm.

Are you sure it runs to the idle valve?  The usual 'T' is crankcase breather 
and camshaft breather into one hose to the air mass sensor air boot.  I've 
never heard these hoses whistle, though splits can cause various other problems.

Whistling is generally in the turbo -> intercooler -> throttle body area.  I 
did see one recently where the 'unthrottled' hose to the ISV was clamped in 
thin air - i.e., the clamp went round the hose but off the end of the fitting 
it was supposed to clamp the hose to, on the rear end of the inlet manifold.

That was fun to find ...
