Michael is right. The dry road is the one where Quattro really shines.
In a bad weather any Beemer out there crawls like a crab so when you
pass them they are not impressed (-"well, you know, it was not built for
this weather, I got a truck at home, you know" - a quote from my
co-worker, who was incredibly proud of his little 325i). I later met him
on a narrow twisty road on a dry summer afternoon and kicked the living
hell outta his blue propeller pride and joy with my 200. He did not have
any excuse then ;)

IMHO, the quattro fun is in taking corners on the dry at such speeds
that the drivers of the so called 'sports cars' which you happen to pass
in the outside lane look at you as you were a complete psycho.
