A4 front strut brace

does anybody have any experience installing a front strut brace
on an A4? my wife has a '98 2.8 quattro avant and i bought the
oettinger strut brace. upon installing it, i realize that it
involves a little more than removing the screws on top of the
struts, mount the brace and put the screws back together.
i called JT motorsports and the guy who spoke to me told me to
"just eyeball it and drill the holes". WHAT?! are you kidding me?

if anybody has done this before, i'd really appreciate any tip.

also, can anybody recommend any good audi shop around the boston area?
