1998 BTCC rule changes - no Audi content

For the 1998 season all BTCC race meets will be of the double race format as
used in 1997. Qualifying has changed, the grid positions for the first race
will be decided by a one-off timed lap, so if a driver blows his chance he
has no way of improving his start position. The second race will be 25%
longer than the first and all drivers will have to take a mandatory pit stop
where at least two tyres will have to be changed. No refuelling will be
allowed.
If there are any technical regulation changes they are so small as to be
unnoticeable - apart from the banning of 4WD of course.
