Jacob,
Novice mechanical mind at work here, but you never mention changing the fuel
filter, just the pump. Was the omission an oversight, or is the old, possibly
clogged, fuel filter still in there?
By the way, I think you're wise not to trust the diagnosis of the first
mechanic, s/he may be performing the daily ass coverage ritual (involves a ton
of smoke and a least one mirror).
