Audi wheel and tyre sizes

Stellar post Tom!

In light of this could the q-listers let me know their thoughts?
For fitment on a 1993 S4.

I plan on going to 17 x 8 inch wheels and running 245-40/17's (24.9 in OD
stock 225-50/16's vs 24.7 in OD for the 17's). My fuel filler flap actually
has factory recommended air pressure specs for this tire size (I about died
and went to heaven when I saw that). Does anyone anticipate any fitment
problems, the car is lowered?

Speaking of lowered I want to change the suspension to a SPAX adjustable
setup. Anyone BTDT? I'd love to find a reputable source who will help me
sort through part numbers.

>>Note: for the B4 models, w/ grill in hood-type front end, Rieger also
supplies an S-cars lookalike sports grill, in black powder coated mesh.

I've potentially sourced this type of grill from Wheel Power Inc in
Placentia CA, does anyone know where else I might be able to find this? I
would also like a lower front bumper cover similar to the one that Wheel
Power sells for the A4 that fits the 100 based S4. It has three openings and
a more pronounced lip. Any ideas?

Finally (at least for now), Abt had an immensely expensive 5 spoke magnesium
wheel available that has been dis-continued (according to JT Motorsport
FWIW), I love this wheel, it is grey, huge air spaces for brake component
viewing, and had Abt machined in one of the five spokes. They were only
offered in 18 & 19 inch versions and I think OZ Racing made them (I've seen
the exact wheel for BMW's only with Hamman machined in the spoke). Does
anyone know of a similar looking wheel in a 17 inch version, or maybe a way
to contact OZ Racing? The tire rack carries OZ, but I am not seeing what I
am ISO.

               TIA,
               Frank--
