They're mainly going after the big trucks with the big lift kits... It's 
been this way in Massachusetts for years. They even have a formula for 
how high you can go! My Toyota PU was right on the very limit, real fun 
watching the state trooper measure the height only find out he can't 
exercise his/her pen.

Never had a problem with lowering, though my cars usually are only 
brought down an inch or so.
