Hi All-
The front brakes on my coupe started grinding
today. I sorta knew it was coming, but the wear-out was two months premature (my
bank account is hung-over this month).
In any case, I'll soon need two front rotors and
pads for the car.
I understand that slotted rotors work about as
well as cross-drilled, and cost alot less, so I think I'll spend my money on
these.
Can someone recommend a source for the slotted
rotors? Or drilled ones at a reasonable cost.
How about pads, what is recommended?
Use is street only, maybe 1 or 2 track
events in their lifetimes. My mechanic keeps pushing me to attend track events,
he may soon succeed. I think he's trying to drum up
business.....Hmmm.
I don't want to start a Brake Jihad out there,
so if you are religious about your brakes, maybe an email directly to me would
be in order. I'm sure the listmeister would agree.
