Tie rod ends

The tie rods on Audis don't seem to last long, either. I was looking
throught the Racers Wholesale catalog and they seel all kins and sizes of
tie rod ends. Can't I just pull the tie rod off, put the new one on, then
use a through-bolt and nut to fasten it on? The ends cost about five bux
a piece.
