K26 turbo onto MC with K24...what will happen?

Hi!

Got a source for Audi parts, a backyard job thing but with a guy who
is also a Audi fan. He has several turbo units lying around, some
actually still attached to motors :). (Now at least I know where 4-5 of
the South African Audi Turbos are). He has some K26 turbos which were
fitted to the early cars with the lower compression ratio. I still need
to check properly, but the MC engine I'm running in my 200t is a
high compression engine with the K24 attached. I was just wandering
that if the rumble sound in my car is coming from the turbo and I
will need to replace it then would it be a good idea to fit the larger
K26 into the K24 position while maintaining the compression ratio in
order to do a power increase? Anyone running the 8.2:1 (or is it
8.4:1) compression ratio MC motor with the K26 turbo?
