No low end in 4kQ

Hey all, i want to know your collective input.  I have an 85 4kq, and 
there seems to be little power at all in the low end, ie below 3000 rpm.  
In my old coupe, there was a good pull of power all the way through the 
revs, but this seems to be especially lacking.  Also, if iwere to be 
driving around in 2nd gear in the midrange, in my coupe, if iwere to hit 
the gas, it would give a pretty good response, in the 4kq, it is much 
more subtle, i dunno, maybe it is that 400 extra pounds, or just in need 
of a major tune up....what do ya all think...

Also, Mike Veglia,  when was the last time that the air filter was 
replaced?  Just for reference...thanks in advance all...
