Considering a 90S...
Deqr Quattro Collective Wisdom:
Was looking at a 90S Sport Quattro at the local dealer yesterday as a daily
driver for my girlfriend (her purchase, not mine). The car looks decent and
clean, I saw it before it was detailed. There are a few rough spots in the
interior and I have a sneaking suspicion the car has been romped on more than
once. The dealer is the Audi Exchange, Highland Park, IL, Al King is the
sales representative..
Specs are:
'95 90S Sport Quattro
2 vlv/cyl, 2.8L V6
35,000 mi
Red w/ Black cloth
Gamma sound
SP6000's (some tread left)
K&N filter
no apparent damage
asking $19,000+
I haven't driven the car yet because they said they wanted to go through it
first.
Questions:
1. Was the previous owner a lister? If you're out there, please drop me a
line.
2. Is the price too high? KBB lists the car at trade-in $15,000, retail
$20,700.
3. Are these cars dependable? We all know they are durable, but this woman
needs reliable transportation.
I'd appreciate any advice or comments.
Many TIA
