IMHO, drivers in and around DC are among the worst I have ever seen
anywhere. On top of the above, they are agressive, will attempt to push
you off the road, and always fail to let merging traffic get in...

Yes, yes. Very dangerous. And the right lane is going 70. Leads to a
*lot* of quasi-emergency stops, as well as ensuing fast acceleration. Not
for the faint of heart. Attempting to leave space b/w you and someone in
front will result in 6 people moving into the space, all at 70+ in bumper
to bumper traffic.
No wonder I got to work at 10, and avoid rush hour. Never mind if there is
1/2" of snow. Then all hell breaks loose.
