No, it's not the multifunctional temp. switch. There are two identical,
single terminal temperature senders on the same side of the head as
the radiator flange. One is just under the hydraulic pump, the other
either on the flange or on the side of the head nearby. One is for
the ECU, the other for the ISV. Resistance to ground varies with
temperature. Both give the same value and, as far as I can tell,
are interchangable since the single wires which connect them
seem to be able to reach either. (Someone know whether it
matters?) The Bentley gives hot and cold values somewhere. I
think cold is over 1000 ohms, hot somewhere between 50 and
150 ohms. HTH.
