4kQ sway bar bushings fall out???

Hey all, last night when i was driving back to my friends house, i
noticed this lound clang when i went over a bump. It was really wierd.
Front end, bythe passenger side. Anyway, i immediately pull into
hisdriveway and havea look. I dont see anythign wrong at first then i get
to the sway bar...lo and behold, the left hand side middle bushing has
fallen out. This is the bushing right by the tow truck mount
things...there are the two on the end and then it is threaded through two
more in the middle. anyway, this one had fallen out...very, very
strange...anyway, i was looking in the bently and it says that after may
of 85 they moved to a different design, mine was built in 4/85...so i
missed it by a month...anyway, the newer style has split bushings while
hte original design has whole bushings. My question is, is it possible
to put split bushings in the mount for the older one piece bushing?
Also, i noticed that the right side one was slipping out, so i should
replace that one too. Anyway, hopefully i can just put on the split
bushings as i am not in the mood to have to del with taking off the sway
bar as i dont hve the tools to do that, nor the skill...if there is any
involved. I could do it with the tools, but i dont want to mess with it.
So...number one, how dangerous is it to drive it in this state, I cant
imagine it being to dangerous as the bushings that actually mount the bar
to the suspension are intact...oh gosh, this has gotten long, im sorry i
just wanted to get it all out. Please help...

TIA
