Subject: substitute thermoswitch

I was thumbing through the Jegs catalog yesterday and I saw thermoswitches
for 16.95 with manual control. Just curious if I might want to use them in
place of my inj. cooloing fan thermoswitch. I think it's just thread size
that matters (if the temp rating is ok). I think changing my thermoswitch
may solve a rough warm or hot start condition. It also stumbles to a stall
unless I rev it. Looks like vapor lock.
p.s.- Does the fan run while the engine is running? Are the high shut off
temps encountered while driving even under high boost?
