Re: clear coat problem

I had the same problem on my '86 5kcstq, but unfortunately
(fortunately?) it was totalled before I had to deal with it. I have not
heard of the magic chemical you mention, but I do know that clearcoat
magnifies any defects in the underlying paint. I would think your best bet
would be to sand down to the paint/primer level and repaint and clearcoat.
In my humble experience, shortcuts usually end up being more work; you
usually wind up starting over and doing it right anyway.
