I switched to Syntech 20-50 at 145k miles in my '86 4kq. At 155k now
with no leaks. However, I just switched to Redline 10-40 and the vacuum
pump is much quieter on startup. We'll see if the Redline finds a way
out. The Syntech does seem to have good detergent action as the camshaft
viewed through the filler hole is very clean. No sludge/deposits
whatsoever.
