84' - 85' 4kq dash upgrade

I have completed my dash upgrade but I still have the old instrument
display mounted and want the newer style.  I know that the Speedo cable is
different.  My main questions are
1.)  The new disp. has the computer, and thus a different connector from
the (Hall sensor?)  The old disp just had two wires running to the back of
the speedo.  + ans - Power I guess.  The new dash has a jumper wire that
moves from the 6 pin connecor for the hall sensor to the location behind
the speedo.  Seems to just transfer power to that location.  If I dont use
the computer, cant I just plug the old connector into the spot behind the
speedo and it should work.  All the other plugs and connection appear to
be the same.

2.)  THe cruise control on the stalk.  THe new style has six wires coming
from it.  Mine only has 4 wires coming from it.  What the H*#L are the
extra 2 wires for.  I dont have a coast feature on my car.  Do the newer
cars have this.  Where is the cruise control box and can I swap in a newer
one.

3.)  THe 4WD diff lock lights and guages.  There is a 6 pin connector.
Appears to be Power and ground at top for the lights?  then Power and
ground for each of 2 gauges (alternator and oil temp).  Is this right.  IF
I get the pickup for the alt. and oil gauges, do I just need to run the
wires or is it more commplicated than this?
