Boost chip max press

For various manufacturers of boost chips available(tap, ia, superchips)
how much is the new max boost pressure ? I would like to make a comparison
with my wastegate only mod. I can go to the limit of the computer and .2
bar above. With an equal amount of boost as a chip, would I be making the
same or less power? I'm led to no because I'm going to assume that there
are ignition and fueling differences with a chip. TIA!
