RE: Here's a stumper...for me in any case



I had a problem with my auto check. All the lights would go off mostly
when cold. I changed my alt (had on from my old car). Voltage was still
under 14. Changed the battery under warranty. Go better voltage. Problem
was, I suspect that with all the jump starts I had to get (maybe a dozen
or so through 1 1/2 months, spiked the auto check controller. Had one from
my old car threw it in, no problems since. Oh, when I cjanged the battery,
the lights didn't go off as much. I figure if the electrical system is not
very stable, lights are going to go off. Opened the old auto check unit
and found some areas where the epoxy may have been overheated, but could
have been from manufacture.
