Trans interchange?

I was just inquiring around for slushboxes for my car, just in case. Most
of the junkyards said that the 84 is different from years going higher and
the non turbo is diiferent from the turbo as well. With the exception of
the diff. what the difference between the T AND n/a slushboxes and turbo
slushboxes from newer years?
