Audi interchange says that your trans is 84 turbo only. My experience with
VW/Audi auto trannys are that many fit if you change the drive flanges on the
diff. This is not the recommended path of travel though. Audi supposedly beefs
up the turbo box to handle the extra torque. Is this necessary? I don't know
for sure. Also check the wire harness for matching plugs.
