I bought my '88 90Q from fellow Q-lister Steve Manning in DC last March
(I love this car, Steve! - It's been bulletproof). I called around in
Hemmings and found a place that would ship it out on an open carrier for
$850. It turns out that for much of the journey (from texas to CA), the
car was shipped in a nice, new enclosed trailer. It still was filthy.
The first thing I did was to drive it to the local brushless car wash to
see exactly what I had bought!
I don't remember the name, offhand, but I could easily dig it up. They
were very professional and courteous, and pretty much kept to the
schedule they had promised. It still took forever, though! What are
you thinking of picking up now? %^>
