Yes, Mark, my 4ksq has hydraulic lifters, and they're very quiet
now with the 0w30 Mobil 1. As far as I can tell from the
reduced noise and smoother engine, the lifters work fine.
They do clatter a bit when I first crank the motor, but 
they did the same or worse with the other oils, and they
become silent immediately after startup, which they
didn't do before. If you do switch to 0-30 let me know
if you notice improvements over 5-30 or 10-30 since I have
never used those weights and they might do just as well.
