MC Engine Info Needed

I have gotten conflicting reports as to when the MC engine was installed
in the 5kt. I am looking at an 86 5kt to use as a donor for a 4k turbo
conversion. It was built in 12/85. Can anybody tell me when the MC engine
was first installed in these cars? BTW, this car is an automatic. Was
this engine detuned as compared to the manual trans cars? Thanks
