     From the V8 fact book:

     An all-red taillamp panel is a purely aesthetic change  that echoes 
     the trend in 80/90 models to delineate upscale models by deleting 
     amber taillamp panels. By using a new type of polymer, the turn 
     signals of the V8 Quattro still illuminate in yellow, though they 
     shine through a ruby lens.
