Well, if you say the FP runs but you get no spark, I would recommend a
couple of things:
I had a problem on the '88 5kCSQW where the resistor built into the
connector of the coil => distributor wire broke. This problem started
as an intermittent loss of power at full throttle and difficult
starting.
Another suspect is the ignition coil driver. I know on the urQ and many
othe cars this is a separate module (mine is accessible from the glove
box), but I think that on the MC engined cars it is built into the
ignition coil ... I have never had to replace one of these, but I know
of people who have (here again on an urq).
