Avi - My temps were all for oil only... sorry for the lack of clarity. 
My experience is based upon 8 years of driving and building race engine ( 
had my own dynomonter) and  and 16 years of flying and reparing piston 
powered planes.  I've had many conversation with Lycoming engine 
engineers - I live in the town where they are built.  240/260 degrees F 
is the top temp for oil you plan to keep on running... particularly for 
non-synthetic multi blends.  And please don't call me Bud.  Richard
