Disagree with your "'disagreement" ...........
When I say 230F that is MAXXXXXXXX temp not running temp,
Why do you think we are using "coolant mix" and high pressure caps (10 to
15PSI)?..... to be able to run HIGHER than 212F...........
Have you ever noticed that after a "good run" what happens if you open the
coolant cap?.........a lot of steams come out (not a recommended practice),
the temperature of steam is higher than 212F, the reason is, your system
operate in HIGERRRRRRRRR temperature than 212F, INCLUDING your plastic
overflow tank.......... Your system will take higher temp than 212F without
a problem......................(it better be!.......)
BTW, some engines run on cooling by "steams", but that is another story for
a different time......
