Re: disabling an ur-quattro
Never tried it on an Audi, but a few years ago I used a $15 remote control
switch from JC Whitney (made to remotely activate existng power locks) on the
postive side of the coil of an MG. Engine would turn normally, but not start.
(Relay on, engine sometimes started... it was an MG you know.) No switches in
the car. Relay not (too) obvious under the hood. Remote mounted on key chain.
Overall, pretty slick for $15.
