Bjorn,

The knock sensor on the american MC motored 5000 TQ is located on
the driver's side of the block, near the front, I believe.  If you
have a later 5000, you would have two knock sensors, or front and one back
end of the block.  There are some mild performance upgrades.  I offer a
very inexpensive kit that adds a nice kick, making the car balanced and
fun.  Some others on the list offer slightly different appraoches.  You 
should mention the year of your car and the transmission type for more 
specific answers.  Welcome to the group.
