Looks like not only my 5K suffers from "occasional battery discharge"
disease. Things to check:
- central locking pump (it's quiet, so there are big chances that you
don't notice if it keeps running)
- power antenna, if it has one (it's loud, though)
- trunk light (probably most common cause of this sort of problems)
It is also possible that the battery is developing intermittant internal
short. If the battery is older than 2 years and it shows first signs of
aging (the voltage drops after the car has sit in cold enviroment etc.),
it's good idea to replace it and keep in trunk along with a set of
jumper cables as a spare. I've just replaced my 3 years old "Delco
Freedom" with new "Banner power bull" and (keeping my fingers crossed)
hope that it will cure the occasional discharge.
