which reminds me that a bunch of guys are running the "queenstown goldrush"
down in queenstown (south island, new zealand) this year. the event has been
modelled on pikes peak and is run up the (private) access road to the coronet
peak ski field.
200 turns and quite a lot of fun believe me (i ran my old ur-quattro up it a
few times)!
this year is the 1st year it's been run and rod millen is bringing his 1000hp
celica (ex pikes peak), and monster tagama (sp?) is bringing his suzuki.
should be fun and queenstown, with it's combination of alpine resort town and
stunning scenery should make a good go of it.
