ram air vs. water ingestion?

I have been thinking of running a ram-air setup on my 84 4ksq.  There
seems to be a ton of room to run a hose from either the top be the
grill, or the bottom up.  My airbox is already swiss-cheesed and I would
like to route some cooler air to it.  My question is has anybody had
problems with ramming water up there if its raining/snowing and if so
how did you stop that from happening?  The hose will be making a few
bends, but I think that the water would probably still get up/over
there.  The only option I can think of doing would be to put some sort
of cover for the end when it is raining/snowing.  Thanks for any
suggestions!
