yay! Snow plow no more :)

My beast finally came out of the shop today, and the new bumper and front
spoiler/skirt, grille, and headlight look great!  The guy did a nice
job...the panels are all back to normal(they were knocked out of alignment
by the impact) and he did the front sides for free(one side had a slight
dent from a garden rake getting run over years ago, the other had suffered
major damage from a collision with a concrete pillar...)
With the exception of the fact that they didn't put my Hella XL's back
on(they were "afraid to drill into the bumper", and the rear passenger
window got rolled down and wouldn't go back up(switch just needs a jiggle)
I'd say the car is back like new.

Too bad; I was getting used to the sweet sound system, better headlights,
additional 40hp(all of it non-turbo) and being lazy with auto tranny in my
mother's Volvo wagon...<sigh>...

Saw a nice A8 today.  Licence plate was an doctor's plate, and an "old"
one(two numerical digits...that number was passed down more than a few
times.)

Oh, and I'm now getting qlist mail again!  2 fer 2 :)
