Assuming you have a 5ktq (since that is the only cluster I know which
doesn't just slide out) once all the screws are removed there are 2 tabs
that must be pressed down on the top of the cluster.  These are plastic so
be careful.  While pulling out, gently press the tabs down with a
flat-blade screwdriver, once it is loose be gentle so you don't yank any
of the wires that need to be disconnected.

I generally jack the car up from the front or rear subframe and then place
the stands under the factory jack-points...
