Climate Control Spring Location '88 5ktq?

     I have most of the pannels removed inside the front of the '88 5ktq 
     and would like to try and fix the poor circulation from the climate 
     control. I understand a common failure mode is a spring breaking away 
     from its mounting? Where abouts do I find this spring? Also, is the 
     trap/vent door underneath the dash on the passenger side supposed to 
     hang down?
