RE: To lock or not to lock...



The physics of recovery (steering) are the same if AWD or 2WD, 
if all else (the speed, of the event, tahrs, etc.) are the same. If anything, 
the 'better handling' of AWD should help, not hinder recovery.

That's one explanation for the statement, but a pretty simplistic one.
Doubtless it can explain away _some_ situations (maybe even mine), but I
hope Jeff (and the mag article) have something more uh, _interesting_ in
mind(?)
