Potenzas in Bucksnort

<<Does anyone else think that Bridgestone Potenzas suck? When I bought my =
'87 5kq it had a brand new set that seems acceptable in dry conditions. =
Acceptable, not ideal. With only the slightest amount of water on the =
road, they aren't worth crap.>>

Nope. I am on my fourth set or RE 91s. Sounds to me like you have yours
under-inflated. On my air pressure gauge, anything less than 30 p.s.i. will
let them get squirrelly in the wet - just as you describe. I did a 360 in the
rain one morning on the way to work and was thoroughly pissed, I also thought
there was something wrong with the tires. And this was the third set, never
had the problem before. Then I remembered that I had never played with the
pressure before. I had dropped it a little (to, I think 28 p.s.i.) to see
what it would do for the handling, then promptly forgot what I'd done. Almost
paid a severe price.

Try running the pressure up in the tires and see if that corrects the problem.
I keep mine at 32-35 p.s.i.

Later.
