Well... I used RE930s on my 885ksq for several years. Its not a
performance tire, but they really did take what I could dish out. Its a
good cross between performance, cost and quiet. As an indicator where
this tire stands, my folks bought a set for their 89 5BMW automatic.

OTOH, I have RE71s on my A4 turbo now. Its as close to a race tire as I
want to get without R compounds.
Ive used R compound RE71s on my 5000 and MGB. I even used the rain RE71s
as a street tire on the B. Too bad Bridgestone got out of the R compound
business.
