Driveshaft bolts

I have a bunch of brand new inner cv to final drive bolts that came with
inner boots that I've changed. Now the shop didn't put them on and they
replaced the original M-spline bolts. The new bolts are 6 point hex heads.
Which should I use and why? I side toward the 6 star because I have hex
sockets. Are there and reason why not? They are grade 8 bolts from Lobro
kits.
