I would only use extended drain intervals in combination with reguarly
scheduled oil analysis. Prolly not worth it unless you have like a 20+
quart oil system as do large trucks, etc.....still must change the filter
a normal intervals.....

Hi Guys and Gals!
Any advice/experience with synthetic that suggests I could/should go 
beyond 7500 miles in my 90 V8 Quattro if I switched to synthetic.  If you 
do extend how often do you change the $20 oil filter?  Currently I'm 
doing 5000 oil & filter changes with non-synthetic 20-50W.
