Just another response to the side impact beams in Audis. they are there
and very effective. My wife's 86 4kcsq was broadsided in the driver's
side door, and the beams definitley saved her.( Not just my opinion, but
that of the two policemen who responded as well). I have also seen the
beams in my 86 5kcstq, and in my 84 5ks.
BTW, the 4kcsq didn't survive.It's now an organ donor,and is at PAP
porsche audi
