Torsen handling
I may be wrong in this, but I consider the value of the Torsen centre diff
to be that it automatically does what it can for a long time to PREVENT me
from losing handling/traction. From owning a handful of cars, I can
confidently say that my A4Q will handle in icy/slippery conditions that
would be WAY beyond recoverable in my other cars.
It is possible that the Torsen will make recovery harder, but, again, by
the time I reach that point I would already be dust (or mud) in most other
cars. If you're going that fast in those conditions, you've broken the
most important law of driving. It's not a race-course out there - there
are other people you can hurt - so stay in control and the Torsen will help.
