I once rode in an old Econoline van that had such a loose steering that 
the guy would SPIN the wheel like two revolutions back and forth in 
ANTICIPATION of where the van was going to go!  Craziest thing I ever 
saw, as far as driver compensation goes.

He just kinda bounced off the limits at each end.  He was really good 
at it, but it was still pretty scary.
