To install control arm bushings in my 5Kq I had to
convince a friend to use the hydraulic press at his place of employment. I
hate presses so I stood out of the way and watched. I could actually see the
press flexing as the old one was pressed out. It is rated for 20 ton's! With a
frightening BANG! or three the old one crept out. I was pleased that the new on
went in with relatively little fuss. Do not beat up new parts.
Next time I do bushings, I'll throw the
parts(old ones) in the oven for awhile to hopefully lossen things up. Good
luck.
