I saw this page a couple of days ago. I like the image so much I just
had to have a copy of it. Look elsewhere on the site and you'll find
some other pics of the car.
It is a stunning looking machine. If only the owner was a list member!
I now have dreams of redoing my burgundy/candy-apple-red 200t in
pure black! Wow! If only I could get my 200t to actually work as
normal!!!
Has anyone on this list resprayed their 5k/200? Did you just do a
surface job or the whole thing including engine bay and trunk? My
car was in a smash, pretty obvious paint job, I even thought as a
future make-over that I'll respray the entire thing, ie. strip
everything and do the entire body. I've never undertaken such a job
and don't know where to start, so what would be involved in doing a
pro respray of a car? Do you strip the old paint? Do you remove the
mechanicals to do a engine bay colour match? Or is it the best idea
to remove the removable panels (doors, front fenders, etc.) and
strip + respray them and then do the remaining bits on the car? I guess
to do a pro job one will have to strip the cabin as well, right?
Lovely car. Sorry to swing the thread.
