Koni/parts warranties

About parts,

OK so the fine print is what you need to read. Agreed. Koni has the
lifetime blah, blah.

Well today I'm selling a guy a new 35mm lens for his Canon. He really
wants the Sigma, but it has a one year warranty against anything.

But he is bothered by the one year coverage when another brand (they didn't
have the focal length exactly that he wanted) has a six year warranty.

We read the fine print. The six year part is covered for six years agianst
defects in material etc, but not for wear and tear. So if you use it alot,
never drop it and there are no material defects that ever cause a problem,
but it needs service. Get out the wallet.

There must be others that claim a warranty but nobody has all the fine
print in the ads. So ya'gotta ask and read.

YMMV
